Dana Haywood, PhD

Psychologist/Neuropsychologist

Dr. Dana Haywood is a licensed neuropsychologist who specializes in providing neuropsychological evaluations, Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT), and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), she works with individuals with mood, anxiety, personality disorders, and neuropsychiatric conditions. Dr. Haywood is experienced in working with individuals of all ages, including children, adults, and older adults.

As a clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. Haywood has experience working with individuals diagnosed with a variety of conditions, including ADHD, Seizure Disorders, Acquired and Traumatic Brain Injury, Dementia-type Disorders, Amnestic Disorders, memory difficulties, Learning Disorders, Mild Cognitive Impairment, and other Minor and Major Neurocognitive Disorders.

Dr. Haywood received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology from Long Island University. Dr. Haywoods led neurocognitive research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, as well as cognitive-affective research and autism research.

She completed a one-year pre-doctoral psychology internship at the New York Harbor Health Care System Department of Veterans Affairs, followed by a two-year post-doctoral neuropsychology fellowship at the Promise Program of Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Haywood joined Neuropsychological Services of Westchester after serving as a full-time staff psychologist for the Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic of Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center and the faculty of Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine.
